Job summary

Calvary Bruce Private Hospital is seeking casual Hospitality Assistants to support catering and housekeeping services. You will help deliver meals to patients, clean and stock areas, and assist with driving duties between facilities where required.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and delivering exceptional patient and staff service in a compassionate environment managed by Calvary Bruce Private Hospital. Excellent communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• ACT WWVP clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Full driver’s license for catering position (due to driving hospital buggy).
• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety issues.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Effective communication & interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use initiative and work unsupervised.
• Commitment to providing and maintaining excellent customer service.
• Commitment to ethical practices.
• Ability to interpret MSDS, labels and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-standard hospitality service to patients, guests and staff.
• Assist catering tasks including delivery of food, stock rotation and chef support; potential inter-facility driving.
• Perform housekeeping duties including cleaning patient rooms and common areas.
• Support a safe work environment and adhere to OH&S requirements.

Hospitality Assistant - Bruce Private Hospital, ACT

About the role

As a member of the Hospitality Services Division which incorporates both the Catering and Housekeeping/Environmental Services Departments, you will be required to deliver a high standard of service to all stakeholders including patients, their guests and staff of Calvary Bruce Private Hospital.

In the Catering Department this incorporates delivery of food to patients, Cleaning Kitchen & Equipment, Stock Rotation, Chef Support and possibility of driving between facilities. In the Housekeeping/Environmental Services Department, this incorporates high levels of cleaning patient rooms and common areas including offices.

About you

• Current ACT WWVP clearance or willingness to obtain
