Job summary

Monash Health is seeking a Trade Cook to join our Support Services team at Kingston Centre and Moorabbin Hospital on a part-time, ongoing basis. You will prepare meals, assist with patient nutrition, and follow food safety standards to ensure safe, timely service.

Ideal candidates have hospital, aged care or hospitality food production experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for patient-centred care. Intermediate computer skills and adherence to safety protocols are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in food production within hospital, aged care or hospitality settings.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; reliable team member.
• Intermediate computer skills and adherence to safety protocols.
• Knowledge of diet codes, texture-modified foods and allergies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Producing meals as per schedule and standard recipes.
• Preparing meals in line with production and clinical needs, including special functions.
• Follow recipes and contribute to menu development.
• Complete all food safety and cleaning documentation accurately and timely.
