Job summary

Latrobe Regional Health in Gippsland is seeking a casual Trade Cook to join the Food Services team. You will prepare and deliver nutritious meals for patients, staff and visitors in a busy healthcare setting, while upholding food safety, portion control and quality standards.

Ideal candidates will have a Safe Food Handling Course, strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team, with a focus on accuracy and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Safe Food Handling Course.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Sound organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic maths for stock control, ordering and food prep calculations.
• A strong commitment to food safety, quality and patient/visitor service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following standard recipes and dietary requirements.
• Assist with meal production, portion control, stock ordering and storage.
• Maintain food safety standards and temperature controls.
