Job summary

Minchinbury Community Hospital is seeking a casual Kitchen Hand/Service Assistant to join our busy department. You will work in a team that delivers outstanding healthcare to our patients and handle basic duties of a Cook within a hospital food service setting.

You will deliver, serve and collect patient meals, assist in daily preparation, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen. This role requires experience in healthcare food services and the ability to work flexibly including weekends.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Healthcare Food Services.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and excellent customer service.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Cook, deliver, serve and collect patient meal trays.
• Assist in daily food preparation and meal assembly.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic food service area.
• Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Monitor and record food safety data.
• Support general cleaning across food preparation areas.
