Job summary

Jackwitz Farms Australia is seeking a Section Supervisor in Horticulture to oversee crop production, supervising packing shed operations and ensuring safety and efficiency across the harvest cycle.

You will manage crop treatments, packing operations, staff rosters, training, and liaison with sales, maintenance and transport to meet customer specifications and food-safety standards on farm and in the packing shed.

Qualifications

• AQF IV qualification required.
• At least one year of experience, or two years in related work may substitute for the qualification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure crop treatments and packing shed supervision are safe and efficient.
• Supervise movement of produce on conveyor belts safely.
• Ensure cleaning and trimming of produce to specification.
• Pack cases with perishable produce to order and food safety standards.
• Oversee roster with HR to staff packing lines.
• Train and supervise packing staff for safe operation.
• Liaise with sales to ensure correct orders allocated to transport.
• Liaise with maintenance regarding plant and equipment maintenance.
• Implement and enforce WHS protocols in the packing shed.
• Manage documentation and trucking records for office administration.
