Job summary

Murray Valley Organics is seeking a Facility Plant Manager to organise, control and coordinate the strategic and operational management of horticulture facilities, ensuring safe, productive environments for staff and facility users across packing and supply operations.

You will lead a team on the packing shed floor, ensure export-ready quality and liaise with post-harvest operations to meet daily objectives, with a focus on safety and efficiency in Australia’s fresh produce supply chain.

Qualifications

• relevant AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV qualifications or equivalent; or
• 3 years employment experience as a Facility Plant Manager with relevant formal training; or
• 5 years employment experience as a Facility Plant Manager with no formal training.

Responsibilities

• Manage the shed floor on a day-to-day basis.
• Ensure all cool rooms are operating correctly.
• Lead a team of staff who manage the packing shed floor efficiently.
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety policies/procedures and ensure compliance.

Education

AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV qualifications or equivalent
