Zusammenfassung

SilverChain is seeking a Care Worker to support older clients in maintaining independence at home. You will perform tasks from housekeeping to personal care, with training and support provided throughout.

Applicants with a Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support are preferred, and a valid Australian driver’s licence with a roadworthy vehicle is required. Salary packaging benefits and CPR/First Aid courses are offered as part of the role.

Qualifikationen

• Valid Australian Driver's Licence & own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
• Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support.
• Training and support provided for new entrants to aged care.

Aufgaben

• Provide home help services: housekeeping, bed making, cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and grocery shopping.
• Deliver personal care such as assisting with bed routines, showering, dressing and mobility.
• Assist with medications, transport clients to activities or appointments, and support family carers.

What we’re looking for

We welcome applicants at all experience levels ($34.42 p/hr):

• New to Aged Care– Full training and support provided.
• Advanced/Qualified– Relevant qualifications and strong capability will attract a higher hourly rate.

In addition, you will need:

• A valid Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle
• Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support (dependant)

The role

In the role of Care Worker you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services such as:

• General housekeeping and making beds
• Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors
• Washing, folding and ironing laundry
• Meal preparation and grocery shopping.

You will also be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as:

• Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day
• Assisting clients to take their medications
• Assisting with mobility and therapy goals
• Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia
• Providing social and emotional support
• Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments
• Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
