Job summary

Australian Unity is seeking Home Care Support Workers to assist aged care clients in Tumbarumba and nearby NSW towns. You will support daily tasks, transport and personal care, while building strong relationships with clients and families.

The role is permanent part-time or casual, with an hourly rate of $32.61–$36.59 plus 12% super, travel allowance, paid induction, smartphone and uniform, and a stable roster.

Qualifications

• Current Australian Driver’s License is required.
• Ownership of a reliable comprehensively insured vehicle is required.

Responsibilities

• Help at Home: cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Transportation and Personal Care: assist customers with appointments, shopping, social outings, showering, toileting, feeding etc.
• Client Awareness: build relationships with clients and families, conduct observations with support and training.
• Safety Practices: adhere to health and safety guidelines and policies.

Our Home Health program delivers in-home support services to our aged care customers to help them live independently, supported and empowered, within their own homes and communities.

We are seeking Home Care Support Workers in Tumbarumba, Willigobung, Laurel Hill, Kunama, Batlow and surrounding areas.

Your New Role

• Help at Home: such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation etc.
• Transportation and Personal Care: Experienced staff assist customers with appointments, shopping, social outings, showering, toileting, feeding etc.
• Client Awareness: Building relationships with clients and their families, conducting client observations with ongoing support and training
• Safety Practices: Adhering to health and safety guidelines and policies to keep yourself and our customers safe

Key Requirements

• Current Australian Driver’s License and ownership of a reliable comprehensively insured vehicle
• Flexibility and availability to work rosters between Monday to Friday
