Job summary

Hinchen Recruitment Group in North Lakes, QLD, partners with an international Insurance leader to grow their Desktop Home Assessing teams across QLD, Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia. The role involves reviewing damage assessments, producing detailed reports on cause, coverage and repair methods, and coordinating with customers and authorities.

Qualifications

• Residential building/renovation experience is essential.
• Experience with estimations, quotes, and scope of works in insurance/building.
• Proficient in computer software systems.
• Strong stakeholder management with customers, builders, suppliers.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to self-manage and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Virtually review reports and photos to validate damage and costs.
• Produce reports on cause, coverage, damage and repair methods.
• Review scope of works for cost-effective and timely solutions.
• Communicate damage and repair schedules with customers.
• Liaise with authorities and third-party building surveyors for compliance.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Virtually review reports and photos to validate claimed event-related damage and repair costs, determine damage causation
• Produce detailed reports on cause, coverage, damage & repair methods
• Review scope of works, ensuring cost-effective and timely solutions
• Communicate damage and repair schedules with customers
• Liaise with local authorities & third-party building surveyors for compliance

About You

• Residential building/renovation experience is ESSENTIAL
• Exposure to estimations, quotes, and scope of works (insurance/building industry)
• Proficient in computer software systems
• Strong stakeholder management (customers, builders, suppliers)
• Exceptional time management & organizational skills
• Ability to self-manage & prioritize tasks effectively
