Job summary

Troocoo Pty is seeking an experienced Desktop Home Assessor to join a growing team in the insurance and claims sector. The role focuses on assessing residential property damage via virtual tools, preparing detailed scopes of work, and coordinating end-to-end claims through repair completion.

Ideal candidates bring building or construction experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a customer-centric environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in building, construction, property repairs or insurance assessing.
• Strong understanding of building damage, repair methodologies and construction processes.
• Experience preparing or reviewing Scopes of Work and validating repair costs.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Confidence using technology and adapting to virtual assessment tools.
• Trade experience is highly regarded; insurance experience advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Review builders’ scopes, validate repair costs and negotiate fair outcomes with repairers.
