Job summary

Harvey’s Towing Service is seeking a Holding Yard Coordinator to oversee yard operations, coordinate data entry, and ensure safety and compliance. You will work with driving teams, respond to customer inquiries, and maintain organised yard processes.

The role emphasizes outdoor work in varying weather, professional customer interactions, and collaboration with insurers and law enforcement when needed. A forklift license and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role (towing, automotive, logistics, or yard management preferred).
• Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to handle customer interactions professionally and courteously.
• Knowledge of vehicle storage regulations and industry best practices.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
• Valid driver’s license and must have Forklift License.
• This role requires you to work under pressure, meet deadlines whilst having effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Organise the holding yard by means of physical/manual labour and utilising a forklift
• Provide the highest level of phone etiquette by answering customer calls and service queries
• Accurate data entry and booking entries
• Coordinate the timely flow of information to and from our customers and other related departments
• Use initiative to find customer focused solutions
• Develop relationships with our drivers and key customers
• Monitor and maintain yard cleanliness and organisation.
• Conduct routine yard inspections to ensure safety and security measures are upheld.
• Work collaboratively with law enforcement, insurance representatives, and other stakeholders when required.
