Job summary

Harvey’s Towing Service is seeking a Holding Yard Coordinator to manage and oversee the operations of our holding yard on the Gold Coast. You will ensure efficiency, organisation, and compliance with regulations while coordinating yard activities and data entry.

Key duties include forklift operations, customer phone etiquette, information flow between customers and departments, and collaboration with drivers and key customers.

Qualifications

• Previous similar experience in towing, automotive, logistics or yard management is preferred.
• Strong organisational and record-keeping skills are essential.
• Ability to handle customer interactions professionally and courteously.
• Knowledge of vehicle storage regulations and industry best practices.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
• Valid driver’s license and forklift license.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Organise the holding yard by physical/manual labour and forklift use.
• Provide high-standard phone etiquette for customer calls and service queries.
• Accurate data entry and booking entries.
• Coordinate timely information flow to/from customers and related departments.
• Use initiative to find customer-focused solutions.
• Develop relationships with drivers and key customers.
• Monitor and maintain yard cleanliness and organisation.
• Conduct routine yard inspections for safety and security measures.
