Job summary

Bayside Health in Melbourne is seeking a Laboratory Scientist to join the Histopathology and Cytology sections at multiple sites. You will apply a broad range of histological techniques and participate in a rotating roster with early start hours.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in Histopathology or Medical Laboratory Science, strong communication and organisational skills, and the ability to travel between Western Health and Prahran sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Histopathology or Medical Laboratory Science is required or highly preferred.
• Experience with diagnostic histopathological techniques.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to travel between sites as needed.
• Willingness to work in rotating roster.

Responsibilities

• Perform histological and cytological techniques in pathology labs.
• Prepare tissue sections, embedding, and staining.
• Assist with rotations to different sites for training.
• Participate in rotating roster, Monday to Friday hours 06:30 to 18:00.
