Job summary

Hitachi Energy Australia is seeking a highly organized Service Planner for our High Voltage Service team based in Smithfield, NSW. You will coordinate field service activities, manage resources, and ensure safe, efficient delivery across Australia.

The role requires planning, rostering, and strong stakeholder engagement with a focus on on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. A relevant electrical engineering background and SAP/Salesforce experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Diploma/TAFE or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience in service planning, scheduling, resource coordination, or field service operations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with SAP and/or Salesforce is highly regarded.
• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or within high voltage electrical industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate High Voltage field service activities including installation & commissioning, inspection, maintenance, repair, retrofit, and digitalization projects.
• Develop and maintain service schedules using Salesforce Field Service Management application.
• Coordinate technicians, subcontractors, tooling, materials, and logistics requirements.
• Ensure all site access, inductions, training certifications, permits, and competency requirements are in place before mobilization.
• Monitor service order execution from handover through completion and invoicing.
• Manage order backlogs and support on-time delivery, revenue, and utilization targets along with customer satisfaction.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement through reporting, customer feedback, and operational performance monitoring.
