Job summary

Cater Care is delivering exceptional dining at Trinity College in Parkville, Melbourne. A new High Table Waiter operation opens in January 2027; this permanent part-time role runs Monday to Friday from 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm, totaling 25 hours per week, in a prestigious college setting.

You will provide attentive table service, welcome guests, and work with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure a seamless dining experience.

Qualifications

• Current Victorian RSA certification.
• Experience in waiting or hospitality, preferably formal dining.
• Polished, professional manner with strong guest focus.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll deliver exceptional table service in a formal dining environment, creating a welcoming and memorable experience for students, staff and guests. With strong waiting experience, confident table service skills and a genuine passion for hospitality, you’ll help set the standard for an outstanding dining experience.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive, professional table service that makes every guest feel welcome and valued
• Welcome guests warmly, anticipate their needs and respond to requests promptly and courteously
• Prepare and set tables to a high standard, ensuring the dining room is presented beautifully and ready for service
• Serve food and beverages confidently, following established service standards and responsible alcohol service requirements
• Maintain immaculate dining areas, tables and service stations throughout each service
• Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth, timely and coordinated servi

Desired Skills and Experience

What You Will Bring

• Current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
• Proven experience in a waiting or hospitality role, ideally in formal dining or high-table service
• Strong table service skills and confidence serving food and beverages to a high standard
• A genuine commitment to outstanding customer service and memorable guest experiences
• Excellent communication skills, a polished and professional manner, and strong attention to detail
• A reliable, team-focused approach and commitment to food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety
