Surf Coast Secondary College seeks a classroom teacher to plan, prepare and teach programs to achieve specific student outcomes. The role includes critical reflection and inquiry to improve teaching knowledge and skills.

As experience grows, teachers contribute to school programs beyond the classroom, with duties appropriate to salary range, qualifications, and experience. A range 1 and range 2 structure applies.

Competenze

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy teaching.
• Experience planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating learning program impact.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform teaching.

Mansioni

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or program.
• Undertaking other classroom teaching and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal.
• Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.
