Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy
• Experience planning and implementing high impact teaching strategies and evaluating their impact on learning growth
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform teaching
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents and colleagues
• Commitment to Department values, reflective practice and ongoing professional learning

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals to achieve student outcomes
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs
• Undertake classroom teaching duties and related organisational tasks as required
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions
• Engage in supervision and mentoring of student teachers and use data to inform instruction
