Lindsay Transport in Derrimut seeks an experienced Workshop Manager to lead a busy heavy vehicle workshop and mentor a skilled team. You will drive safety, quality and performance while maintaining fleet availability and coordinating maintenance needs.

You are a hands-on leader with a track record in workshop or fleet operations, capable of balancing priorities and developing people across trades and apprenticeships.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a workshop, fleet maintenance, or heavy vehicle operation.
• Track record coaching and developing tradespeople and apprentices.
• Strong safety, compliance and continuous improvement focus.
• Experience in transport, logistics or related industries.
• Strong planning, scheduling and resource management skills.
• Hands-on leadership style with front-line capability.

Responsabilités

• Provide strong, visible leadership to the workshop team and mentor apprentices.
• Oversee planning and allocation of work; manage repair and maintenance of a high‑volume fleet.
• Ensure safety, quality and compliance; raise purchase orders and oversee stock.
• Collaborate with operational teams to adapt to fleet priorities and breakdowns.
