Job summary

Hoban Recruitment is seeking an experienced Field Service Coordinator for a Sydney-based role that manages servicing, breakdowns and warranty work on mobile earthmoving equipment. You’ll coordinate a small team of technicians and be the primary contact for customer enquiries, supported by the Service Manager.

This role suits a former technician transitioning off the tools into an office environment, keeping machinery knowledge while coordinating schedules and costs.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Field Service Coordinator or similar role in heavy equipment.
• Trade background in mobile plant, earthmoving or industrial mechanics.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities.
• Knowledge of civil construction machinery and service processes.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for service-related customer enquiries
• Coordinate servicing, breakdowns, repairs and preventative maintenance
• Allocate work to six workshop and field-service technicians
• Prioritise urgent breakdowns and adjust schedules as needed
• Provide technical support and assist with machinery fault diagnosis
• Open, monitor and close workshop and field-service jobs
• Prepare purchase orders, job documentation, invoices and service reports
• Monitor work in progress, technician utilisation and costs
• Prepare and submit warranty claims in accordance with OEM requirements
