Job summary

Victorian Government is seeking a Head Start SBAT Support Officer in the Head Start program, based in Melbourne with area-based duties across Ovens Murray. You will provide tailored case-management support to Yr 10–12 students pursuing SBAT pathways, ensuring data quality, compliance with Child Safe Standards and strong collaboration with schools and employers.

You will work within the Jobs, Skills and Pathways team, supporting SBAT readiness, pairing with employers, and delivering positive SBAT

Qualifications

• Demonstrated data and digital literacy, with ability to input and manage program data per policy.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Proven case-management skills including planning, review, risk management and problem solving.
• Ability to work with young people using student-centred approaches.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with Victorian government school contacts to promote Head Start and SBATs.
• Maintain Head Start policy compliance, data practices and reporting.
• Case-manage SBATs from readiness through to progress with schools and employers.
• Escalate student safety, wellbeing or program risks to relevant coordinators.
• Collaborate with JSP team and SBAT employers to address issues and support outcomes.
