Job summary

Department of Education Victoria, Melton, is seeking two Head Start SBAT Support Officers to provide tailored assistance to students considering or undertaking SBATs. You will work with schools, employers and training providers to ensure readiness and successful SBAT placements while maintaining high-quality data reporting and safeguarding standards.

The role supports the Jobs, Skills and Pathways team, travels within the Brimbank Melton area, and contributes to improving senior secondary

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to model and support colleagues to adopt behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values.
Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills with diverse stakeholders to support positive student outcomes.
Demonstrated high-level interpersonal skills and ability to work with young people from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key Victorian government school contacts to facilitate Head Start and SBATs.
Maintain Head Start policy and procedural compliance, high-quality data practices, and commitment to continuous improvement.
Case-manage aspiring, prospective and current SBATs through application of SBAT readiness framework, development of SBAT support plans, and engagement with SBAT employers.
Evaluate individual student readiness to undertake an SBAT and triage to appropriate supports within the Victorian government school system.
