Job summary

Macquarie University is seeking a Student and Education Digital Experience Lead to shape end-to-end digital experiences for students. You will align academic and student service priorities with technology, driving roadmaps and a prioritised backlog through a dedicated team and development capability focused on student outcomes.

You will partner with Platform Owners, Architects and AI/Data teams, driving value, governance and continuous improvement across the student journey, enrolment, learning

Qualifications

• Experience leading student-focused digital experiences within higher education and translating needs into roadmaps and backlogs.
• Strong knowledge of student services and academic/education domain including enrolment, learning and teaching, and student portals.
• Technical competency with student-facing platforms and related domain systems.
• Ability to plan strategically, prioritise investments, and manage demand across teams.
• Experience in Agile, product and DevSecOps environments with secure-by-design practices.
• Data-driven with ability to measure performance and derive actionable insights.
• Ability to communicate clearly to executives and governance forums.

Responsibilities

• Guide the student and education digital experience end to end.
• Develop and maintain the Student Experience roadmap and backlog; align with business priorities.
• Coordinate demand across experience and platform teams and project delivery paths.
• Lead the team to deliver a prioritised backlog with value realization.
• Translate insights into prioritised initiatives with measurable outcomes.
• Partner with Platform Owners, Architects, and Cyber/Data/AI teams to optimise enterprise platforms.
• Progress responsible AI-enabled capability adoption with governance.
• Establish performance measures and monitor adoption and benefits; report governance forums.
