Job summary

Macquarie University is hiring two Senior Education Developers for a 12‑month term at North Ryde. You will design and deliver technology-enhanced learning solutions across courses, providing expert consultancy to academic staff and learning designers while coordinating multidisciplinary projects.

You will evaluate pedagogical impact, embed accessibility and employability, and drive standards for digital design.

Qualifications

A relevant tertiary qualification in technology, instructional design or a related field.
Substantial experience designing and developing digital education programs in a higher education context, including engaging online and blended learning experiences - ideally using Moodle/iLearn and Microsoft Teams.
Demonstrated expertise navigating technologies, systems and digital environments to create streamlined experiences for students, academic and professional staff.
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI meaningfully and effectively into education learning environments.
High-level communication, consultation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to advise and train colleagues across a range of disciplines.
Well-developed organisational and project coordination skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

Designing and delivering technology-enhanced digital learning solutions that meet timelines, quality standards and budgets.
Providing expert consultancy, advice and training to academic staff and learning designers to shape online and blended learning strategies.
Evaluating pedagogical effectiveness and informing improvements through data analysis.
Embedding the University’s vision, accessibility and employability requirements in digital learning projects.
Establishing digital design standards and templates to ensure consistency across the academic community.
Managing learning-technology development projects end-to-end with multidisciplinary teams.
Keeping pace with developments in digital pedagogy and translating insights into strategic improvements.
