Job summary

Shepherd Recruitment is partnering with a well-established Sunshine Coast real estate agency to recruit an experienced Head of Department for Property Management. You will take ownership of people, performance and day-to-day operations of the department.

The role requires leading the team, driving client retention, ensuring compliance and service standards, and reporting to senior leadership, with a focus on coaching, process improvements and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a Property Management environment.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proven ability to drive performance and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and hold the team accountable.
• Manage workloads, KPIs and operational performance.
• Handle escalated owner, tenant and staff matters.
• Drive client retention, service standards and process improvements.
• Oversee compliance, maintenance, insurance and Tribunal matters.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and team development.
• Report on department performance to senior leadership.
