Job summary

Bendigo and Adelaide Bank is seeking a Senior General Manager, Group Operational Risk, to lead enterprise risk governance and readiness. You will partner with the CEO, Board, and regulators to drive robust risk management and strategic risk initiatives.

You will sponsor major risk modernisation projects, including the enterprise ServiceNow deployment, and build a high-performing risk team across Australia with a flexible hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading Operational Risk Management Frameworks (ORMF) and Business Continuity Management (BCM).
• Deep knowledge of APRA CPS 230 and related non-financial risk drivers.
• Proven ability to engage Board Risk Committees, Executive Committees and regulators with 2LoA challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mature the Group Operational Risk Management Framework, policies, and standards.
• Oversee regulatory compliance and accountability for prudential standards (APRA CPS 230).
• Direct BCM framework, disaster recovery, and Major Incident Plan preparation for Board approval.
• Oversee enterprise ServiceNow deployment for risk analytics and automated controls.
• Build and coach a high-performing, nationally distributed risk team.
