Job summary

NRMA seeks a General Manager, Corporate Development in Sydney to lead inorganic growth through M&A, partnerships and strategic investments. This senior role requires Board-level influence, governance alignment and cross-divisional collaboration to drive capital deployment and value for members.

Reporting to the CFO, you will build and lead a small Corporate Development team, manage external advisors, and ensure risk and governance standards are met across the group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Law; MBA or CFA highly regarded but not essential.
• 12+ years' experience in corporate development, M&A advisory, private equity or corporate strategy.
• Demonstrated experience executing transactions from origination to integration, including acquisitions and divestments.
• Exposure to mutual, member-owned, cooperative, or not-for-profit structures is highly regarded.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and capital allocation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refresh the corporate growth strategy with the CEO and Group Executive team.
• Maintain a live pipeline of M&A, partnerships and investment opportunities.
• Lead end-to-end deal execution: valuation, due diligence, negotiation, structuring.
• Oversee integration planning and track post-completion performance against theses.
• Present investment papers and recommendations to Investment Committee and Board.
