Job summary

JS Careers is recruiting a Corporate Development Manager for Sydney to lead a broad mandate across the investment lifecycle, from asset identification and financial analysis through to transaction execution. You will work closely with senior leadership on acquisitions, fund management and strategic growth initiatives.

The role offers direct access to co-founders and involvement in capital raising and greenfield opportunities within a high-growth real assets platform.

Qualifications

• 2.5+ years of experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, corporate development or real assets investment
• Strong financial modelling capability across transaction, fund and feasibility models
• Ability to work autonomously and produce high quality output
• Exceptional academic background
• Genuine interest in real assets, funds management or entrepreneurial environments

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining financial models, transaction, feasibility and fund-level analyses
• Conducting and leading due diligence on prospective acquisitions, capital projects and divestments
• Preparing investment committee papers, board materials and decision-support documents
• Supporting asset screening and evaluation for new acquisitions
• Supporting transaction execution with legal, tax and external advisers
• Supporting investor relations and periodic fund reporting
• Liaising with brokers, advisers and counterparties during active transactions
• Managing multiple concurrent workstreams to meet deal timelines

Job description

We are exclusively assisting a privately owned real assets investment and asset management business to recruit a Corporate Development Manager based in Sydney.

The business owns and operates a portfolio of assets across Australia, managing capital across multiple fund vehicles. This is a high impact role sitting at the centre of the firm's acquisition and investment activity, working directly alongside senior leadership on transactions, fund management and strategic growth initiatives.

The Role:

This is a broad corporate development mandate spanning the full investment lifecycle, from asset identification and financial analysis through to transaction execution. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to support capital raising activities, divestments following successful hold periods, and working directly on new greenfield development opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

• Building and maintaining financial models, transaction, feasibility and fund-level
• Conducting and leading due diligence on prospective acquisitions, capital projects and divestments
• Preparing investment committee papers, board materials and decision-support documents
• Supporting asset screening and evaluation for new acquisitions
