Job summary

Momentum Energy is seeking a Head of Business Growth to own the growth agenda for our business customers, with a strong focus on the C&I market. You’ll lead business development, relationship management, retention, broker and partner channels, creating a robust pipeline and turning opportunities into sustainable, profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Significant energy industry experience across C&I, Mass Market, Energy Efficiency and Emerging Energy Solutions.
• Proven leadership of customer acquisition and retention teams, including geographically dispersed teams and team leaders.
• Strong track record in direct sales, business development and New Energy solutions, including VPPs and customer decarbonisation.
• Strong commercial, strategic and financial acumen, with proven ability to develop and execute plans and prioritise initiatives.
• Deep understanding of retail energy markets, regulatory developments, industry trends and commercial drivers.
• Strong knowledge of the energy broker and intermediary market, supported by established industry relationships.
• Demonstrated performance leadership and ability to build high-performing teams.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior executives, industry stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

• Own and deliver ambitious growth targets across our business customer segments, balancing acquisition, portfolio quality and long-term customer value.

• Build high-performing broker and partner channels, setting clear expectations and driving strong, consistent acquisition outcomes.
• Accelerate growth in emerging energy solutions, including VPP sales, by creating strong pipelines and building valuable, long-term customer relationships.
• Bring our customer-first approach to life, creating experiences and relationships that genuinely differentiate Momentum in the market.
• Help business customers navigate the energy transition, connecting them with energy and decarbonisation solutions that support their changing needs.
• Strengthen Momentum’s position in the business energy market, building our reputation as a trusted energy and decarbonisation partner for SME and C&I customers.
