Job summary

Granata’s Liverpool in New South Wales is seeking a Chef to oversee kitchen operations, supervise staff and prepare dishes that meet customer preferences.

You will work in a busy, hygienic kitchen, set up the station, help develop seasonal menus and ensure consistent quality. The role requires the ability to work under pressure, a team mindset and availability for weekdays, weekends and nights. Salary is AUD 80,000 per year.

Qualifications

• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2).
• At least 3 years of work experience may substitute for qualification.
• Ability to handle busy service and ensure quality of food is maintained.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct food preparation, cooking and presentation in a busy setting.
• Set up kitchen with utensils and equipment.
• Supervise cooks and food preparation staff.
• Monitor food quality, quantity, taste and presentation.
• Assist recruitment of cooks and food preparation workers.
• Stock and maintain adequate levels of food products at line stations.
• Enforce sanitary practices and comply with health and safety regulations.
