Cananka Pty Ltd T/A Beach Street Dining in Woolgoolga, NSW, is hiring two dynamic full-time chefs to join our fast-paced kitchen. We are committed to delivering affordable, high-quality dishes and excellent customer service.

Ideal candidates will hold Australian equivalent qualification in commercial cookery, be proactive, capable of organising a kitchen, and willing to work nights and weekends. 1–3 years of experience, strong health and safety standards, and a solid work ethic are valued.

Qualifications

• Australian equivalent qualification in commercial cookery (cert/traineeship)
• Organisational and kitchen management skills
• Willing to work nights and weekends
• Commitment to health & safety, cuisine quality, and presentation
• 1–3 years of relevant kitchen experience

Responsibilities

• Determine food presentation and create decorative displays
• Instruct and supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
• Hire, train and supervise kitchen team
• Plan and design menus
• Maintain quality, taste, temperature and presentation across all dishes
• Ensure food displays are clean and of high quality
• Check stores, fridges and safe storage of leftovers
• Monitor food wastage and assist with food cost control
• Review monthly profit and loss with Head Chef/Owner
