Nerang Community Bowls Club is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen operations and deliver exceptional culinary experiences for our members and guests. This full-time role is based at Nerang, QLD 4211, and involves menu development, staff supervision, and maintaining the highest food quality, safety, and presentation standards.

You will plan innovative menus, mentor kitchen staff, manage inventory, control costs, and collaborate with management to reflect member preferences.

Formación

• Formal culinary qualification or apprenticeship in cooking (or equivalent professional experience).
• Minimum 2 years' experience as Head Chef or Senior Chef in hospitality or food service.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of food safety, health and hygiene regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, develop and execute innovative menus for a diverse membership base with cost control.
• Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring safe handling procedures and health standards.
• Lead, train, mentor and supervise kitchen staff.
• Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, rotation and waste.
• Maintain food quality and presentation across all dishes.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and club policies.
• Collaborate with management to reflect member preferences and feedback.
• Control food costs and maximise profitability without compromising quality.
• Prepare meals for events and catering as required.
• Maintain a clean, organised kitchen and sanitation protocols
