Job summary

Martini and Co Werribee is seeking an experienced Chef to join its kitchen team. You will prepare and cook a diverse range of menu items, coordinate food preparation during service and maintain consistent standards of food quality, flavour, presentation and kitchen operations.

Location: RE/13 Heaths Road, Werribee VIC 3030. Salary is $75,000 to $85,000 per annum plus Superannuation. Full-Time employment.

Qualifications

• CertIV in Commercial Cookery or related discipline.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
• Experience in a busy restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a diverse range of menu items according to recipes and standards.
• Coordinate food preparation during service to maintain quality and presentation.
• Monitor cooking and ensure freshness and quality of ingredients.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist with menu planning and daily/seasonal specials.
• Supervise junior kitchen staff during service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace safety regulations.
