Job summary

BASSCARE is seeking Head Chefs for casual shifts at our Ashburton residential services. You will lead a kitchen team, prepare high-quality meals, and deliver compassionate, dignified care to older Australians.

Casual hours with Monday to Friday availability, aiming for variety and ongoing professional development. Police check and Australian Working Rights required; Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and 2+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial kitchen experience.
• Experience in aged care preferred (not essential).
• Working rights in Australia and current police check are required.

• Draw on your experience across multiple cuisines to bring variety and creativity to every menu.
• Lead a team of kitchen staff including recruitment, rostering, supervision, teaching and delegation.

• Reduce food waste and champion sustainable kitchen practices.
• Perform confidently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.

We are looking for passionate Head Chefs (Casual Opportunities) to join our Hospitality team, preparing high-quality meals at our Residential Services in Ashburton.

Key Responsibilities
