Job summary

BASSCARE is seeking passionate Chefs to join our Hospitality team, preparing fresh, nutritious meals across our Residential Aged Care and Meals on Wheels services.

Permanent Full Time and Part Time opportunities are available with a rotating roster. You’ll work across Canterbury, Ashburton and Glen Iris, delivering meals that support wellbeing and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of commercial kitchen experience.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum).
• Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Working rights in Australia.

We’re looking for passionate Chefs (Permanent Full Time and Part Time) to join our Hospitality team, preparing fresh, nutritious and high-quality meals across our Residential Aged Care and Meals on Wheels services.

Wages, Hours and Locations

• $33.13 per hour + Super + applicable Allowances + Salary Packaging
• Canterbury, Ashburton and Glen Iris
• Monday to Sunday (rotating roster), Sunday availability is essential.
• 4 shifts per week 7am–3pm and one shift per week 9:30am–5:30pm.
• Occasional cover for staff leave and special functions required.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Minimum 2 years of commercial kitchen experience
• Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Working Rights in Australia
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum)
• Experience in Aged Care preferred (not essential)
