Job summary

MacKellar Group is seeking experienced Haul Truck Operators for our mining operation near Nyngan, NSW. You will operate CAT 777 haul trucks as part of a seasoned production crew on a 7/7 DIDO roster, with camp accommodation and meals provided.

You’ll perform pre-start inspections, keep to site procedures and safety standards, and contribute to daily production targets while working alongside Supervisors and dispatch.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mining experience operating haul trucks.
• CAT 777 or similar-sized haul truck experience required.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.

You’ll work a family-friendly 7 days on, 7 days off roster, operating CAT 777 haul trucks as part of an experienced production crew.

The Role

As a Haul Truck Operator, you’ll play a key role in maintaining safe and efficient production across the site.

You’ll be responsible for operating large mining haul trucks, meeting production targets and working closely with the wider production team to keep the operation moving.

Your responsibilities will include:

• CAT 777 haul trucks or similar-sized equipment
• Completing pre-start inspections and equipment checks
• Reporting faults and maintenance requirements
• Following site procedures, mine plans and safety standards
• Maintaining safe and productive operating practices
• Working closely with Supervisors, Dispatch and fellow operators
• Contributing to daily production targets
• Maintaining a high standard of equipment care and housekeeping

What You’ll Bring

To be successful, you’ll have:

• Demonstrated mining experience operating haul trucks
• CAT 777 or similar-sized haul truck experience – essential
• Strong understanding of safe mining practices and risk management
• Commitment to site safety and compliance
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Positive attitude and team-focused approach
• Current Australian driver’s licence
• Ability to DIDO to site and work a rotating 7/7 roster
