Job summary

The Big Group invites an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day Front of House across events and café services at our iconic Sydney Harbour venue. You will own the operation, coach a busy team and drive service standards to deliver exceptional hospitality.

Reporting to the Hospitality Manager, you’ll manage rosters, budgets and client coordination for corporate and social events, ensuring outstanding guest experiences while keeping teams motivated during busy services.

Qualifications

• At least two years’ experience in hospitality management.
• Experience delivering service styles for corporate and social clients.
• Strong leadership, coaching and performance management.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills, able to manage priorities.
• Experience managing labour budgets and costs.
• Problem-solving with composure under pressure.
• Attention to detail and commitment to service standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day Front of House operations across events and café services.
• Build a capable, engaged team through coaching and development.
• Maintain high standards across food, beverage and service.
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to deliver on event requirements.
• Manage labour budgets and operational costs.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
