The Big Group is seeking a Beverage & Logistics Manager to oversee beverage and logistics across our event, restaurant and retail operations in Sydney Harbour venues.

You will coordinate orders with suppliers, manage stock movements, lead a practical hospitality team, ensure safety and quality, and contribute to memorable guest experiences.

Our Venue

Situated on Sydney Harbour's stunning waterfront, our galleryvenue provides event spaces for corporate dinners, conferences, cocktail parties, private occasions, weddings, milestone celebrations and everything in-between. We host events across 4 recently refurbished spaces with iconic views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House, ranging from 50-500 pax.

Position Overview

The Beverage & Logistics Manager oversees beverage and logistics requirements across our event, restaurant and retail operations within the building. This position works closely with our front of house, kitchen, staffing and supplier teams to anticipate requirements, coordinate orders and keep stock moving efficiently.

Main Duties

• Coordinating beverage ordering: Plan and order beverages for upcoming events and daily operations, balancing demand, costs and available storage.
• Managing stock: Oversee inventory, weekly stocktakes, stock rotation and storage, using Drinking the Profits to maintain accurate beverage records.
• Preparing for service: Coordinate beverage deliveries, collections and distribution, oversee cocktail batching, and support staff with product knowledge and serving techniques.
• Keeping logistics running smoothly: Manage the loading dock, incoming goods and movement of stock, including transfers to and from our Marrickville Production Kitchen.
• Working with suppliers: Build strong relationships, coordinate delivery schedules, check orders against invoices and resolve discrepancies.
• Leading your team: Allocate work, provide training and feedback, and collaborate with the Staffing team on efficient rostering.
• Maintaining safe, organised operations: Uphold food safety and WHS standards, support safe manual handling, and coordinate equipment maintenance, uniforms, laundry and waste management.
• Supporting the wider operation: Process invoices accurately and work across departments to respond to changing priorities.

Skills/Experience Required

• Experience in beverage management, hospitality operations or a similar role involving ordering, stock control and logistics.
• Strong beverage knowledge and an understanding of what’s needed to prepare for busy events and service.
• Confidence managing suppliers, deliveries, inventory and competing deadlines.
• A practical leadership style that builds a positive, professional and fun team culture.
• An organised approach to costs, stock accuracy, quality and safety.
• A willingness to get involved and support the wider team.
