Job summary

HumanKapital is recruiting on behalf of a Cardiff-based ramp manufacturer for a Workshop Team Leader. This full-time role oversees daily production to ensure safe, efficient and reliable manufacturing while remaining hands-on with the team.

You will manage the team, quotes, freight, stock orders and quality assurance, and liaise directly with suppliers to understand needs and ensure outstanding customer service, including invoicing support.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in leading a team, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Formal qualification in trades, operations, or engineering, or equivalent experience
• A current C Class License
• A current Forklift License
• General knowledge and understanding of production and installation processes
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot defects and deviations from quality standards
• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback
• Flexibility to adapt to changing scheduling and priorities
• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with management, team members and key stakeholders

Responsibilities

Our client, located in Cardiff, is a successful ramp manufacturer, assisting clients in multiple states with these home modifications. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced and trustworthy Workshop Team Leader to join their team.

About The Role

This full-time permanent position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily production that ensures safe, efficient and reliable manufacturing.

This is a highly visible, hands on leadership role for someone who enjoys still getting on the tools while supporting and managing their team to success.

Reporting directly to the managing directors, you will not only manage your team, quotes, freight, stock orders, and quality assurance, you will also liaise directly with suppliers to understand their needs to ensure an outstanding level of customer service.

About You

You are a reliable and trustworthy leader that the managing directors will be able to depend on to help manage your team, clients, operations, and financial aspects such as invoicing.
