Job summary

Ridley is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our Narangba site. Reporting to the site manager, you will lead safe operations, hit production targets, manage resources, and oversee maintenance, quality assurance and inventory control.

You will drive continuous improvement, build a capable team, ensure compliance with OH&S and environmental standards, and contribute to operating and capital budgets.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing improvement programs.
• Strong leadership skills with team development.
• Solid understanding of OH&S policies and environmental standards.
• Experience with production planning, control and measurement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to OHS/WHS legislation and promote a safe workplace, report hazards and incidents, investigate safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate production SOPs and ensure team members are trained and performing to expectations.
• Manage plant resources to meet targets, plan shutdowns and cleaning, drive improvements with engineering/maintenance teams.
• Ensure full traceability of products and support quality and commercial teams in handling production-related issues.
• Provide out-of-hours support for operations and assist with budget development (operating and capital).

The key responsibilities for this position include:

• Adhere to all OHS/WHS legislation and Ridley’s OHS&E systems by promoting a safe workplace, reporting hazards and incidents, and supporting health and safety initiatives. Ensure proper use of equipment and follow up on safety incidents with thorough investigations and preventative actions.
• Maintain accurate production SOPs and ensure team members are skilled, trained, and performing to expectations.
• Manage plant resources efficiently to meet production targets, including planning for shutdowns and cleaning. Support continuous improvement by analysing plant performance and implementing optimisation strategies. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve operational issues quickly.
• Adhere to quality systems (RMP), ensuring full traceability of products and supporting quality and commercial teams in resolving production‑related customer concerns.
• Provide out-of-hours support for operational issues and contribute to developing operating and capital budgets.
