Publicroles in Melbourne is seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to join our Engineering team, reporting to the Director of Engineering. You will lead a small team of two Technicians and be actively involved in day-to-day maintenance of the hotel to ensure guest comfort and operational efficiency.

The role requires practical problem-solving, strong building services knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with Front Office and Housekeeping.

Formación

• At least 2 years supervising maintenance operations in hospitality or facilities.
• Strong technical knowledge of building services and equipment.
• Proven leadership of a small team while remaining hands-on.
• Excellent communication and cross-department collaboration.
• Ability to work independently with proactive safety focus.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance throughout the hotel to ensure guest comfort and operational efficiency.
• Supervise and support a team of two Handypersons, fostering a positive team culture.
• Prioritise and coordinate daily maintenance activities in consultation with the Director of Engineering.
• Diagnose, maintain and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems and equipment.
• Monitor contractor activities and ensure all works meet standards and specifications.
• Monitor utility consumption and identify opportunities for energy conservation and efficiency improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and compliance checks.
• Work with Front Office and Housekeeping to minimise room downtime and expedite returns.
• Assist with rostering, safety inspections, reporting and training requirements.
