Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance, preventative work and repairs across our dual-branded hotel environment.

The role requires strong leadership, maintenance expertise and the ability to liaise with all departments to minimise disruption to guests. You will manage fire life safety, compliance documentation and roaster planning, contributing to a safe, efficient property.

Qualifications

• Full working rights within Australia with no restrictions.
• Solid maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality or building services.
• Electrical qualifications are highly regarded.
• Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision of the maintenance team to ensure timely work with minimal guest disruption.
• Collaborate with department leaders to communicate maintenance needs.
• Create and manage the departmental roster ensuring compliance with awards.
• Allocate work requests and repairs via HubOS.
• Assist in Fire Life Safety management and evacuation training.
• Disseminate safety information relevant to work hazards.
• Develop knowledge of local codes and brand standards for compliance.
