Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor for its Melbourne CBD properties, Hotel Indigo and Holiday Inn. The role oversees a busy maintenance environment, coordinating daily activities, safety training, and compliance while ensuring minimal disruption to guests.

Ideal candidates will have solid hospitality maintenance experience, leadership skills, and, if possible, electrical qualifications.

Qualifications

Full working rights within Australia with no restrictions.
Solid experience in a maintenance role, preferably within hospitality or building services.
Electrical qualifications would be highly regarded.
Ability to lead and inspire colleagues from varied backgrounds and communicate with other functions.
Experience working in guest areas and assisting guests as required.

Responsibilities

Provide daily supervision of the maintenance team to ensure routine, preventative, and repairs are completed with minimal guest impact.
Build partnerships with department leaders to keep areas informed of maintenance needs.
Create, implement and manage the departmental roster in compliance with awards.
Allocate work requests and repairs to Technicians via HubOS.
Assist in managing Fire Life Safety and evacuation training.
Disseminate safety information relevant to work hazards.
Support compliance documentation with knowledge of local codes and brand standards.
