Job summary

Gough Recruitment is representing a prominent construction and development business seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator to promote and maintain a proactive safety culture across multiple NSW projects. You will report to senior leadership and collaborate with site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure best-practice safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Health & Safety Coordinator or WHS role within construction
• Strong knowledge of NSW WHS legislation and compliance requirements
• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections, audits and workplace safety assessments
• Monitor compliance with NSW WHS legislation, policies and procedures
• Assist in development and implementation of safety management plans
• Lead toolbox talks, safety inductions and training initiatives
• Investigate incidents, hazards and near misses, provide corrective actions
• Support site teams in maintaining safe work practices
• Prepare safety reports and compliance documentation
• Foster a proactive and positive safety culture across projects

The Opportunity

Reporting to senior leadership, you will play a key role in promoting and maintaining a positive safety culture across multiple projects.
