Job summary

Wearn is seeking a motivated HSEQ Coordinator to join our Erskine Park team in NSW. The role reports to the HSEQ Manager and supports the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality systems across the business.

You will promote a positive safety culture, ensure WHS compliance, conduct site inspections and audits, and work with operational teams to achieve safe, efficient outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in a HSEQ or Safety Coordinator role
• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or higher
• Available to start immediately
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management principles
• Experience conducting site inspections, audits and incident investigations
• Current Driver Licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining HSEQ policies, procedures and management systems
• Conduct site inspections, audits and workplace observations across multiple sites
• Support risk management activities including hazard identification and risk assessments
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions
• Coordinate and deliver HSEQ training, inductions and awareness initiatives
• Monitor compliance with WHS and environmental regulations and company requirements
• Maintain HSEQ records and documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Support emergency preparedness activities and drills
• Engage with workers, contractors and management to promote a safety culture
• Assist internal and external audits and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide practical HSEQ advice to operational teams and supervisors

• Maintain HSEQ registers, records,reportsand documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Support emergency preparedness activities, including emergency response planning and exercises
• Engage with workers,contractorsand management to promote a positive safety culture
• Assistwith internal and external audits and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide practical HSEQ advice and support to operational teams and supervisors

What We're Looking For

• Available to start immediately
• Experience within civil construction, quarrying,transportor heavy industry environments (must)
• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, or higher qualification
• 2 years previousexperience in a HSEQ or Safety Coordinator role
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation,regulationsand risk management principles
• Experience conducting site inspections,auditsand incident investigations
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong analytical,problem-solvingandorganisationalskills
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across multiple sites
• High attention to detail and commitment tomaintainingaccuraterecords
• Proficiencyin Microsoft Office and safety management systems
• Current Driver Licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment
