Job summary

Sirius is seeking an experienced WHS Coordinator to join the People & Culture team in a hands-on, multi-site role focused on maintaining and improving the organisation's Work Health & Safety Management System. You will partner with site managers and HSRs to drive practical safety outcomes and investigations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in WHS, Return to Work, workers' compensation or injury management.
• Formal investigation training with proven experience running procedural, fair investigations.
• NSW Return to Work Coordinator experience or certification, with knowledge of NSW workers' compensation processes.
• Proven background supporting multi-site operational environments and managing contractor safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• WHS System Maintenance: Review and update WHS policies, registers, risk assessments, training matrices, and SWMS to maintain full legislative compliance.
• Incident & Risk Management: Lead incident triage, root-cause investigations, and hazard reporting using WHS management software (Risk Wizard); track LTIFR, TRIFR, and corrective action trends.
• Injury Management & RTW: Coordinate workers' compensation claims, early intervention strategies, and suitable duties/RTW plans alongside treating practitioners and insurers.
• Workplace Investigations: End-to-end leadership of internal investigations into safety breaches, misconduct, or grievances with high procedural fairness and detailed reporting.
• Psychosocial Safety & Wellbeing: Support the rollout of the Psychosocial Risk Management Framework and partner with HR to drive employee wellbeing initiatives and EAP programs.
• WHS Consultation & Capability Development: Lead WHS Committee meetings, deliver safety inductions and toolbox talks, and manage mandatory compliance training (First Aid, Fire Warden, licences).
• Operational Coordination: Oversee PPE and uniform ordering systems, vendor management, and ProSpend invoice approvals.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive WHS Coordinator to jointhe People & Culture team.

In this hands-on, multi-faceted role, you will be responsible for supporting and continuously improving the organisation’s Work Health & Safety Management System. You will work closely with site managers, supervisors, and Health & Safety Representatives (HSRs) to drive practical safety solutions, manage workplace investigations, oversee injury management, and champion psychosocial wellbeing across all locations.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• 3+ years experience in WHS, Return to Work, Workers compensation or Injury management
• Formal investigation training (e.g., ICAM, TapRooT, or conduct of administrative inquiries) with proven experience running procedural, fair investigations.
• NSW Return to Work Coordinator experience or certification, with sound knowledge of NSW workers' compensation processes.
• Proven background supporting multi-site operational environments and managing contractor safety compliance.
