Qualifications

• 5–7 years' gyprock and plaster experience with 2–3 years in supervision.
• Strong knowledge of gyprock installation, plastering, finishing techniques.
• Experience leading construction teams and coordinating trades.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills with ability to manage priorities.
• Knowledge of WHS legislation and site safety requirements.
• Strong communication with clients and trades on site.
• Ability to read technical drawings and project specs.
• Current driver's licence and White Card (essential).
• First Aid Certificate preferred.

Dobras Interiors Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Gyprock/Plaster Foreman to join our team on a contract basis. Based in Moorebank NSW 2170, this is a supervisory position that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality interior finishing solutions to our clients. As Gyprock/Plaster Foreman, you will be responsible for leading and managing gyprock and plaster teams on site, ensuring projects are completed to specification, on schedule and within budget. This role is essential to maintaining Dobras Interiors' reputation for excellence in the construction and interior fit‑out industry.

What you'll be doing

Supervising and coordinating gyprock and plaster teams on construction sites, ensuring all work meets quality standards and project specifications

Planning and scheduling daily work activities, allocating resources and managing team productivity

Conducting site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with relevant building codes and company standards

Liaising with project managers, clients and other trades to ensure effective communication and project coordination

Maintaining accurate records of work completed, materials used and labour hours

Ensuring a safe working environment by implementing and enforcing workplace health and safety procedures

Training and mentoring team members, providing feedback and support for skill development

Managing equipment and tools, ensuring proper maintenance and safe storage

Identifying and resolving on-site issues and challenges promptly and professionally

Preparing progress reports and documentation as required by project stakeholders

What we're looking for

Minimum 5-7 years' experience in gyprock and plaster work, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or foreman role

Strong knowledge of gyprock installation, plaster application, finishing techniques and industry best practices

Proven experience in managing and motivating construction teams

Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Sound understanding of workplace health and safety legislation and construction site safety requirements

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams, clients and other trades

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and project plans

Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions independently on site

Current driver's licence (essential)

White Card or equivalent construction induction certification (essential)

First Aid Certificate (preferred)

Computer literacy and familiarity with site management software (preferred)
