Qualifications

• 3 years on-the-job plastering experience or Certificate III in Fibrous & Solid Plastering (or equivalent).
• Willingness to complete pre-start safety checks.

Responsibilities

• Measure, mark and cut plasterboard/gyprock.
• Cover and finish joints using finishing compounds; seal nail holes and sand to a smooth surface.
• Sand and refine surfaces for uniform finish.
• Apply finishing compounds and skim coats to walls and ceilings.
• Fibrous and solid plastering – apply plaster coverings to interiors and exteriors.
• Interpret drawings and documents to confirm specifications.
• Conduct pre-start safety and risk assessments on all jobs.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with customers.
• Adhere to workplace health and safety legislation and procedures.

Task & Responsibilities

• Measure, Mark and Cut plasterboard/gyprock
• Cover and finish joints using joint tap, sealing compounds, nail holes, smooth surfaces with sandpaper
• Sand refines surfaces to achieve uniform finish
• Applying finishing compounds and skim coats to walls and ceilings, ensuring smooth and uniform surface finished (if applicable)
• Applied finishes and coatings to surfaces
• Fibrous and Solid plastering - applying plaster coverings to interior and exterior surfaces
• Interpret drawings and documents to confirm specifications and installation requirements
• Conduct pre-start safety and risk assessments on all jobs prior to commencing any works
• Providing excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with our customers
• Adherence to all workplace health and safety legislation, processes and procedures

Qualification & Experience

• 3 Years on the job experience or Certificate III in Fibrous & Solid Plastering (or equivalent) qualification.
• Further training and development opportunities available.
