Job summary

EVT Group’s Rydges Bankstown hotel in Sydney is seeking a friendly Guest Services Agent to welcome guests, handle check-in/out, and process reservations. You will work closely with Housekeeping, Reservations and Maintenance to ensure rooms are ready and guest needs are met.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a GSA or similar in hotels.
• Warm, friendly approach and a genuine desire to look after guests.
• Accuracy and care when handling guest accounts, payments and reservations.
• Ability to work well with other departments and support colleagues when needed.
• Commitment to hotel policies, workplace health and safety and a clean, safe working environment.
• Willingness to take part in training sessions and team meetings.
• Availability for 3 to 4 shifts per week, including opening and closing duties.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate and respond to guests’ needs straight away, passing on special requests and following up until they are fulfilled
• Check guests in and out efficiently and warmly, following hotel procedures
• Process guest transactions and accounts accurately, following cashiering policies
• Book, update and amend reservations accurately and on time
• Work with Housekeeping, Reservations and Maintenance to make sure rooms are ready for arriving guests
• Share knowledge of the local area, hotel services, current room rates and packages with guests
