Job summary

Port Pacific Resort in Port Macquarie is seeking a guest-facing team member who delivers outstanding hospitality at check-in/out, handles reservations and payments, and assists guests with requests. You’ll join a friendly staff and work on a rotating roster including weekends to ensure a memorable stay for guests.

The role emphasizes presenting well and maintaining data accuracy, with opportunities to train alongside engaging clientele who return year after year.

Responsibilities

• Completing check-in, check-out and payments of guests.
• Maintaining accurate information and records.
• Assisting guests with special requests & general information to ensure they get the most out of their stay.
• Cheerfully handle incoming telephone calls and in-house guest requests accurately.
• Resolving any guest complaints in a timely and professional manner, referring them to a supervisor or manager if necessary.
• Reservation taking and entering.
• Be able to work on a rotating roster including AM & PM shifts and weekends, including all school holidays.

Port Pacific Resort comprises of 79 Guest apartments, resort pools, spas, gymnasium and compact tennis court right in the heart of Port Macquarie, only a short stroll to Hastings River and Town Beach.

In this role, you are the face of our property and often the first and last point of contact for our valued guests. Because of this it is imperative that you are well presented.

From welcoming check-ins, answering calls from guests, making reservations and organising payments, each day will bring a new experience, new faces and a fresh opportunity to impress. It will take an experienced person or dedicated fresh face to balance the skills needed to succeed in this role.

You’ll have a keen eye to detail and always display a genuine and friendly demeanour. A healthy amount of casual hours on offer for the right person.

A great team of staff will be on hand to train you throughout your journey with wonderful engaging clientele, many of whom have been coming every year since the Resort opened.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
