Job summary

Port Pacific Resort in Port Macquarie is seeking a hands-on Resort Maintenance Officer for a casual role within our maintenance team. The position offers above-award pay and typically provides 130+ hours across a 4-week rotation.

Reporting to the Resort Manager or Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll handle maintenance tasks across guest rooms, public areas, pools and air conditioning, with on-the-job training provided for the right attitude.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Trade qualification highly regarded.
• Strong team player who can also work autonomously.
• Physically fit to undertake hands-on duties.
• Hold a valid full Australian driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, pools and air conditioning.
• Provide fast, friendly and efficient maintenance service.
• Maintain machinery, plant, fittings and fixtures and assist in repairs.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and safely.
• Work weekends and night shifts on a rotating roster.

Port Pacific Resortis a fully independent apartment accommodation provider and has a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our crew asa casual Resort MaintenanceOfficer in our maintenance team. Although a casual role, generally there is 130+ hours on offer over each 4-week rotation and includes above-award pay.

Reporting to the Resort Manager or Maintenance Supervisor, your role includes, but not limited to:

A hands-on approach to hotel maintenance operations, emergency procedures, OH&S

A basic understanding of maintenance for varying machinery, plant, equipment, fittings, fixtures and actively engaging in repairs and maintenance tasks when needed

Maintenance of guest rooms and public areas, furnishings, fixtures, equipment, pools and air conditioning

Provide a fast, friendly and efficient service for maintenance requests

Working weekends and night shifts on a rotating roster including school holidays with the maintenance team

The ideal candidate will ideally meet the following criteria but plenty of on-the-job training will be undertaken for someone with the right attitude:

Previous experience in a similar role

A Trade qualification will be highly regarded, though by no means essential

Strong team player who can also work autonomously

Calm and professional demeanour who works well under pressure

Physically fit to enable the undertaking of the duties of this very hands-on role

Hold a valid full Australian driving licence
